Goddess Impure
This short film was the most challenging project I completed during my time at film school, and it's also my favorite. As the production designer, I had the opportunity to build a set in a studio, starting with the floor plan design, step by step creating the model, and participating in the entire process from constructing the flats and flooring, to applying wallpaper, customizing the skirting, and arranging the furniture. Since we aimed to create a surreal setting to complement the mix of reality and fantasy in the storyline, I designed a triangular space with a coffin leaning against the wall. Many scenes take place in the protagonist’s consciousness, so I subtly incorporated elements of dreams and the subconscious into the set’s details.

Another challenge was the storyline requiring a pregnant belly and a baby that could be pulled out from it. I worked with a special effects artist to come up with a plan and did our best to make the bleeding effects look realistic. Behind the scenes, we were constantly adding to the belly and fake blood, which made for a busy but fun filming experience.
